SUTTIMAX measuring tubes, electrodes, ground rings and sealing gaskets made of lined or insulated materials are in contact with the fluid, the material's corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and operating temperature limit affect the instrument's adaptability to the fluid. Due to the few parts, simple shape and flexible material selection, the electromagnetic flow transmitter has strong adaptability to fluids.
The lining must use electrical insulating material. Due to its direct contact with the measured medium, it must be considered comprehensively according to the physical and chemical properties of the medium. Commonly used lining materials of fluorine plastics include polytetrafluoroethylene, perfluorinated ethylene propylene, polyurethane rubber, chlorammine rubber, neoprene rubber, glass fiber reinforced plastic and ceramics etc. Neoprene and FRP for non-corrosive or weakly corrosive liquids. Polyurethane rubber has excellent abrasion resistance, but poor acid and alkali corrosion resistance. Alumina ceramics have excellent abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance to strong acid and alkali. The electrode is made of a non-magnetic material, and the corrosiveness of the medium is mainly considered in the selection, followed by whether it will produce surface effects such as passivation and generated noise. At present, most of the general fluids use acid-resistant steel and stainless steel with key for strong corrosive media, then choose Hastelloy, and chin, platinum-iridium alloy or acid-resistant steel coated with gold and so on.
